Sishu Vidya Mandir was established on 1991 at Basanta Vihar at-Gada Andhia, Nimapada, Puri. This institution has become welknown due to the open handed land donation by a great freedom fighter and former M.P. Rajyasabha Mr. Bhabani Charan Pattanaik. He has been regarded as the Gandhi of Nimapada and founder of many educational and social institutions. This institution pays him high respect for his great contribution. It is affiliated by Shiksha Bikash Samiti Odisha. In a short span of 24 years our School has earned a reputation for itself by creating pioneering and innovative educational opportunities, teaching & learning practices that focus on both curricular and extracurricular activities.

SSVM is progressive, innovative Govt. recognized, Co-educational and Unaided Institution which offers a child-centric and activity-curriculum. It provides education from primary classes to standard X according to BSE curriculum. The school follows syllabus prescribed by BSE(Board of Secondary Education). Besides routine academic activities and numerous co-curricular activities are carefully planned to draw out the best of the potential and talent of the pupils.
